Types of Cerebral Palsy
Brain CharacteristicsThe characteristics of Cerebral Palsy differ for each individual. There are three main types of CP and they are as follows: Spastic, Athetoid, and Ataxic. People with Cerebral Palsy may also have a mixture of the different types. Students' cognitive abilities will vary depending on the severity of brain trauma or abnormalities.

Body CharacteristicsThere are different types of body characteristics of Cerebral Palsy. These types are pictured below: Monoplegia, Hemiplegia, Diplegia, and Quadriplegia. The different types range from affecting one limb to all four. Some students may use forearm crutches or wheelchairs for mobility.
